A great Saturday was had by myself and partner in crime Kara. 5.00am start to make the drive down and watch the storm build and unload onto our shores at dawn. Photography aside it was amazing being sat on the cliffs of west Cornwall feeling the raw power of mother nature throw everything she has at our island. I'm not sure about my photographs yet though if I'm honest. So here's a photograph back on new years day at Porthleven.
The tide on this visit was better placed with evening side lighting in mind. Although the sun never appeared and some of the better waves hit before the town lights switched on, I do like the cold steely blue tone of that evening rendered in this photograph. A sight to be seen in the flesh for sure. The raw power of the ocean is just captivating but please keep safe and watch from a distance, unlike the people on the bend by the clock tower.
