I just love being up on Raddon Hill. Living only 10 minutes away it is a great location to get above the rolling patchwork fields of Devon. As I jumped out the car into the cold landscape I made tracks in the frosty grass towards the summit without an image in mind. Half way up and it came to me that the hedge follows the ridge all the way up, which viewed from above would make a great lead in line down towards the windswept beech tree. Standing on top of the hedge was a little tricky and finding some good footings for the tripod even more so. Just as I finished setting up my gear the first light arrived burning the scene dividing the photograph into two different colour temperatures. |
